The DECE Method in lightning speed ⚡

STEP 1 Detach or decenter from Low Frequencies like guilt, shame, regret, fear across various dimensions like your past self, addictions, shopping habits, unhealthy relationships, childhood, mass marketing (Hollywood beauty standards), capitalism (working hard with little opportunities for upward mobility), generational trauma, systems of privilege (oligarchy), ancestral wounding, etc.

STEP 1.5 Shift into the Void State where you sit in a somewhat uncomfortable emptiness – this will eventually turn into a chill zen space. Note: The Void State is where most people relapse!

STEP 2 Expand into new High Frequencies, feeling curious, open and adventurous – start going to new events, meeting new people, learning new behaviors.

STEP 2.5 Receive that spark of Inspiration - don’t rush the process, just go enjoy ‘new you’ and let it come, you’ll know when the inspiration hits!

STEP 3 Create! Something new wants to be created, only you hold that vision. Make it happen! (The secret is to let most of it just come to you 😉)

STEP 3.5 Level-Up to your highest timeline!

STEP 4 Enjoy!!!!

(Rinse repeat until you feel joy in all the steps - YES it can happen in a single day! YES you will continually jump onto new highest timelines!)

This is how quickly you can cycle through the DECE Method!! But let’s slow it waaaay down to learn it first.

Some tips and tricks:
• You are ALREADY doing the DECE Method, you just aren’t aware of it yet – once you understand the flow, your life will flourish
• You may experience the different phases out of order
• You may experience tons of them at the same time as you clear multi-dimensionally
• It may feel manic or crazy (and it should feel good and adventurous!), just be patient and breathe - you’re on quantum speed now ⚡
• You will activate ‘life reviews’, it will feel psychedelic or like you’re on drugs, but completely sober. Woooo!
• You will repeat the DECE Method thousands of times per day, so figure out where you are in the process, and let it rip!!! Each time you do it will reveal a ‘new you.’
• The crazy feeling will eventually level itself out and you’ll be in total control of it – walking into the infinite is quite the vibe hehe

We’re doing things differently.

The DECE Method stands for “Detach > Expand > Create > Enjoy” - there are 7 total states that you will shift through, those little >’s are states as well. Once you get the hang of it (it’s as easy as breathing), you will quantum jump through recovery at light speed.

First thing’s first – please do not identify as an alcoholic or addict.

I know it’s tempting because everyone else is doing it, but choose to identify as “sober” or “creative” or something that aligns with where you're going, not where you've been.

Why? You don’t get to define what it means to be an alcoholic (and it’s heavy baggage), but you get to define what it means to be sober
for yourself. There are also gray-area drinkers and those who are sober-curious that don’t identify at all with the definition of alcoholic, and you don’t need to be one to detach from substances.

Ultimately, you're building a brand new core identity and forming core sober memories.

These should be built on High Frequency (HF)* qualities like:
joy • fun • creativity • adventure • learning • leadership • playfulness • openness • self-trust

Not on Low Frequency (LF)* ones like:
shame • guilt • fear • character defects • immorality • self-deprecation • that old story of “I’m an alcoholic”

Being an alcoholic is just a subset of learned behaviors — not who you are. You can unlearn the behaviors pretty quickly if you have the right guidance. You are not limited because of your past. You always have access to unlimited expansion.


* High Frequency (HF) and Low Frequency (LF) behaviors are neither good nor bad. It’s just energy. Is what you’re doing making you feel big or small? Real or fake? Abundant or fearful? Aligned or misaligned? Expansive or shrinky-dink? Only you can say!

I don’t think addiction is a disease, I think fear is the “disease” and addiction is a symptom of it.

  • In earnest, there is a lot of good stuff and intention in the world.

    And there is also a lot of dysfunction – I think it’s kind of unreasonable to expect us to be able to cope with it all. For instance, how could you possibly feel genuinely good in a system that is overwhelmingly designed for you to become addicted to things? Do you know how much money marketing agencies pour into human behavior focus groups? Collectively, we are not making that decision, the executives are making it for us. No one really consented to billboards along the freeways, they just appeared one day and now we have to deal with it until we make a big ruckus about it.

    Despite what traditional addiction recovery has tried to make me believe, I don’t accept my addictive behaviors to be solely because I’m deeply and morally corrupt. Nah. And you shouldn’t either. Nah nah nah. I’m just trying to make art, eat good food, and experience life here, wtf?

    Like, it’s 2025, why is there still global poverty? Folks can figure out how to get things shipped across the world in 2 days and build rockets that can dock themselves but we can’t possibly invest in and figure out how to reduce black maternity death rates? Is humanity just dumb? No, of course not. The priorities of society as a whole are not very clear, some people cannot be bothered to help others, and it inevitably affects us all whether we like it or not.

    We live in systems designed to keep us stuck in fear and suppression:

    I mean, have you seen redpill content? Barf.

    Infuriating I know, I didn’t sign up for this either. So how do we cope with this all? Or rather, thrive in it? Keep that sacred rage handy, it’ll come into play later on.


    Sobriety is so much more than you think it could possibly be.

Luckily, you (pretty quickly and seamlessly) get to dismantle the larger fear-producing systems just by getting inner-aligned, healing your nervous system and being the most joyous, creative, and relaxed ‘you’ possible. Hehe.

Imagine all the domestic violence, sexual assault, drunk driving statistics start tanking because you went around telling people you really enjoy sobriety. It doesn’t cost money to not drink – you enrich your own financial security and take away money from powerfully harmful/predatory industries by not drinking alcohol. In fact, every time you decide to not drink, you get time, energy, clarity, creativity, humor, and joy back AND reduce the risk for a drunk driving accident, higher insurance premiums, higher medical premiums, etc. Then we get to take our super-creative brains, create your dream life, and innovate new systems.
That’s right – you learning the DECE Method literally builds a new, healthier world and it’ll happen sooner than you think! You are more powerful than you give yourself credit for.

We’ll keep space open for all the miracles to arrive. There is no shortage of them – miracles and blessings happen all day every day
if you’re open to receiving them! You’ll start seeing just how abundantly creative this universe truly is.

In a few months, as you do the DECE Method, you’ll start speaking about your past like this:

“I got wayyyy too involved with drugs/alcohol, some of it was fun but also cringe AF haha. Honestly it was a coping mechanism for a bunch of core wounds I didn’t even realize I was operating out of. I moved past all the substances very quickly and now am focused on gaining emotional intelligence, creating a badass and super supportive social circle, deconstructing from broken systems, healing past traumas, and building an amazing life I don’t need to escape from. I feel the freest I’ve ever felt and it’s just getting better every single day!”

This is how we’re moving forward and understanding the complex, multidimensional beings that we are:

  1. Removing the parts of your old persona you don’t want to keep (please keep your humor, we want that)

  2. Getting to the root of old core addiction behaviors of unhealthy coping

  3. Transforming those behaviors and mindsets into something healthy, fun, collaborative, creative, and badass while understanding what powerful systems are keeping the overall community health vibe in a LF

A few things before take off 🚂🚀

Let’s focus on you: What regrets/shame/guilt are you still carrying in your unconscious?

Do the Buddhist Death Meditation in the link below (add this into your daily/weekly meditation practice). This will help lift all the stale Low Frequencies and bring them to surface so you can detach from them. Yes, I’m being for realziez – this is how we cultivate that ‘badass’ part of you :)

People energetically carry old regrets to their deathbed. Let’s learn from that and not allow that to be how you spend the rest of your life.

  • Generally the answers are:
    • it’s just what I’ve always done
    • early learned behavior
    • I wanted to feel good
    • I was celebrating
    • it was happy hour
    • my yoga studio had $15 bottomless mimosas
    • my friends were getting married
    • I was at a music festival, that’s what we do
    • I like nerding out on craft beer
    • I couldn’t say no
    • I felt peer pressured
    • there was a discount at TJs
    • I have a lot of social anxiety
    • there was nothing else to do
    • once I start I can’t stop
    • have you seen the state of the world?

    All answers are valid, and you may have multiple reasons. We’ll get to the root of everything as the process goes on and eventually change the old core behavior. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, boredom, cultural acceptance/over-saturation and mass marketing can be difficult to maneuver around, but the DECE Method will clear that all up.

    BTW, I’m not an abolitionist – I don’t think alcohol or cannabis and whatnot should be illegal. I think there are amazing experiences you can have on substances, particularly safely guided psychedelic trips. But that doesn’t mean it’s a sustainable life practice. Only you know if the substance/activity you’re doing is doing damage to your life/livelihood, just like only you know what your deep desires and dreams are :)

  • Let’s excavate – there are 8 main root fears

    • Fear of Self/Freedom
    • Fear of Others
    • Fear of Failure
    • Fear of Success (aka Fear of Public Speaking)
    • Fear of Judgment
    • Fear of Loneliness/Abandonment
    • Fear of Pain
    • Fear of Death

    List out all of your fears – this may take several days or weeks – and identify the root fears in each (fear of heights = fear of success, pain, death). You will start tackling the big ones which will make all the small ones disappear, like removing the weeds at the root.

  • People are usually terrified of making amends. I’ve done it a bunch and no one has ever rejected my apology – they were all sincere. To be quite honest, it felt pretty liberating to accept responsibility for my past behavior. It gave me a chance to work on myself and I developed more grace and discernment as an adult.

    You will likely get a 99% positive reaction if you do it with every intent to become a better person. You will know when you need to apologize to someone because it will surface during the Void State. I wait for the feeling to surface at least 5 times and I’ve gotten to the root before I start preparing to make an amends. Apologies are only genuine if they are paired with a behavioral change, if you have no intent on actually changing, then do not apologize. I recommend to save the apologies until after you have done the DECE Method for at least 3 weeks (you’ll have done it hundreds or thousands of times by then). You will deconstruct your part of whatever happened and own the behavior that is truly yours. The other side of an amends is good sleep, better relationships (for those that you want to keep), and personal accountability (which is a muscle, much like emotional intelligence).

    There are instances where you should not apologize for certain behaviors: escaping abusive relationships, leaving jobs that were filled with sexual harassment, defending yourself against someone violating you, or your job guilting you into working overtime because you ‘aren’t a team player.’ That requires a different conversation. Be discerning here. Trust that it will come up multiple times if you need to do something about it (like, you won’t be able to sleep at night).

    If you identify as a woman, you are more likely to be overly apologetic and this is why I say to wait to deconstruct the actual feeling before accepting blame/guilt for something that might actually not be your fault at all. You may have guilt deeply embedded in your behaviors via religion or patriarchal programming. The weight of the world should not be resting on your shoulders. Let’s free you up :)

    PS Yes, to all the men, you have to deconstruct from the patriarchy too. Your low self esteem is likely rooted there.

  • Choose 5 of these words. Don’t get too attached to them because they will change as you do the DECE Method. You’ll get more fun and badass as time goes on and you’ll pick your own identity with your own definitions. Your core identity should not revolve around your drug/alcohol issues. They will be a thing of the past.

    Healing through trauma is way more difficult if a. you don’t know the process, and b. you don’t know what comes afterward. After you clear the old LFs out and your nervous system starts regulating properly, you get to choose how you feel in life. Just maintain the HFs and see how the Universe delivers what you ask. Yes, it’s that easy! You’ll become very magnetic. Trust the process! It’s like eating your veggies before you get dessert :)

What are your goals/dreams in life?

Get clear on these, we’re going to start achieving them in no time. It’s okay to set small goals for now, the bigger ones will surface later. You will always be setting bigger goals for yourself, do not think your dream life is the end. There is ALWAYS more afterwards. You’re becoming someone you couldn’t even possibly dream of right now.

First we overcome our fears, then we create our dream life, then we move to the “more & more” phase. Get organized and let’s go!

Detach

Step 1

Let’s quantum jump! We have to deconstruct our old identities. Over the next 7 days, practice the DECE Method one at a time per each level/dimension in the list. Take breaks when necessary. We identify & label the emotion as it comes out and find the dimension it is rooted in. We are bypassing all of the rumination and narrative loops from drugs, alcohol, and talk therapy, and getting down to the very bottom of why you are coping in the ways you were in lightning speed. Trust the process!

Yes, you’re this complex of a human being with so many levels! Likewise, so is everyone else. Everyone is in their own unique level of awareness per each dimension. It’s no wonder why drinking felt like the easiest choice at the time, you were operating out of unconscious wounds. But now you know how badass and free you can be – so enjoy the discovery :)

* There may be more dimensions that will be specific to you, these are just general ones. They will make themselves known as you do the detachment work for this list.

** When you feel yourself getting “hurt,” you may be hitting on a core wound that is spread out on several of these levels/dimensions. What might be a seemingly small insecurity actually goes back to your ancestors and generational trauma. You need to detach the insecurity through all the dimensions. It just takes meditation – acknowledgment, honoring, and allowing it to leave our bodies to achieve this. It may be painful or uncomfortable, allow it to do its thing as it disappears. Sit still and breathe. The new you is being formed. Be patient here and don’t rush the process.

*** Detachment happens thousands of times per day. You can be practicing detachment almost every second of the day. Just exhale!


TRY IT OUT (Easy mode):

  1. Clean out a junk drawer or closet.

  2. Sort things into keep/throw away/donate piles. Get rid of 50% of those objects.

  3. Observe your feelings as you detach from these objects emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and other dimensionally.

  4. Try to figure out what dimension the pain/wound/emotion (if any) comes from - the fear of finances will come up! List the above dimensions out loud if it helps, you will feel it in your heart/sacral area if you’ve found the correct dimension. The more you detach, the more attuned you get to these dimensions. If you identify as a woman, your fear of finances will likely be rooted in ancient/current patriarchal systems and that we couldn’t own our own finances/land/property/jobs until the last generation or so. If you think you’re bad with money it might be because you were never taught how to be good with money. Always look at the broader systems. “You are the sum of your environment.”

  5. Clearing your junk drawer can be completed in a single afternoon, though, take breaks and naps if you need to. Detaching can be energetically exhausting – you’re in the middle of redesigning your own internal system :)

Nice work! Let’s keep transforming ⚡⚡⚡

Once you detach at your current ‘level of awareness', you will feel a sense of peace or “zero point neutrality.” Once you get here, you will shift into the next phase. It can be very, very subtle and it happens in seconds. You will do the DECE Method thousands of times per day so you will get acclimated very quickly on where you are. It is uncomfortable and perhaps unnoticeable at first, but you will start to enjoy shifting. This means you are getting into inner alignment and shifting onto higher frequencies and dimensions. Miracles are coming your way!

Your old life in addiction is going to be a thing of the past super quickly. Shed that past self in a single day if you want!

You have the power to step into a new life in an instant—just as some people pack up and move across the world, you can move beyond your old patterns and addictions. (Please see medical note above)

Shifting >>>

Step 1.5

>The Void State

Once you get to a neutral place from detaching, you will shift into the void. It can feel extremely uncomfortable. This is where people will relapse or turn back to their old ways. Allow/surrender to the void. It will eventually feel very peaceful here.

As you move through the void, old or stale Low Frequencies IE fear, anxiety, regret, resentment will surface. Think of it like popping bubbles. Feel the frequencies/emotions that are coming out, acknowledge what they are (learning emotional intelligence), find the root lesson & dimension, and detach from them too.

Be patient here. Your nervous system is recalibrating across multiple dimensions. You will feel strange for a few hours or a few days, and then there will be a peaceful acceptance. Make sure to nap, rest, and drink more water than normal. Then… you will want to try something new. When you get a mastery over the DECE Method, you will pass through the void fairly quickly. Let’s shift!


TRY IT OUT (Easy mode):

Sit with the empty drawer/closet for a few days. Do not fill it just yet. Do nothing for a few days… you will start feeling the sense that you have some new space in your mind/body to go try something new. Wait for it. The curiosity will come to you. You will not have to force it.

Step 2

You will feel a nudge of wanting to go out and be a little bit more adventurous. It can be as subtle as wanting to try out a new recipe or new show or maybe you finally buy those plane tickets. Don’t rush the process. The process will come to you. You will be able to do every single thing on that dream sheet.

Parts of ‘old you’ cleared out of the void and now your ‘new you’ is being created and surfacing. Enjoy the expansion process, go with the flow. Aim for a ‘beginner’s mind’ and curiosity, don’t attach yourself to the outcome. What if you decided to be someone brand new just for today? Try it out for a day, or 100.

* You are always becoming someone brand new… You just get to choose who you become now.

Curiosity will lead you down a new path. Don’t fill your drawer/closet quite yet. Go explore a bit. Wait until the next shift.

Step 3

Inspiration will lead to creativity. This is a huge sign your nervous system is healing itself. You cannot be your most creative self under stress. It’s impossible. You need the channels open.

Don’t hold yourself back. Create what you want to create. Make a new social media profile page featuring your art, even if it’s for 4 months. Who cares? Enjoy your own artistry for whatever reason you want to. Be cringe, be artsy, go be bad at stuff. Create for the sake of making mistakes.

TRY IT OUT (Easy mode):

  1. Go design that drawer/closet space now. You have a vision.

  2. Take action and make it happen!

  3. When it seamlessly comes together, you are in a flow state!!

Step 3.5

This one is short and sweet. You’ll know you’ve hit your newest highest timeline.

As you get aligned, you will see your “3D reality” start changing.

Watch for the cues. You will be in new rooms, new events, meeting new people, reading new books, buying new things, opening new bank accounts, having new financial blessings, getting into new hobbies. You’ll be creating new pieces of art, new poetry, new blog posts, new types of events. The universe loves to whirl around, just maintain your High Frequency self and things will come to you! Life is an absolute playground!

Step 4

You are your own self-generating joy machine. On every plane of existence you do not need money, material possessions, or a romantic relationship to feel joyous. You can just create internal joy in a single breath cycle and knowing which dimension you’re in. Tada!

As the joy frequency ends, you will shift into peace, eventually you will move into a state of detachment because what used to be your HFs are now your LFs!!! Then just repeat the DECE Method over and over again, each time it gets more fun :). You will never be bored!

As you clear out the old LFs from the various dimensions, your inner self will feel more alive than ever before and you will feel immense bliss just walking down the street. This is the sober glow up people talk about.

The penultimate goal of DECE is to learn how to enjoy all states, especially the void state (which is the hardest).

The ultimate, ultimate goal of DECE is to experience all states at the same time, in all the dimensions, all the time. It feels like heaven on earth and you don’t need anything else but you and your breath. Everything else will be a bonus.

You’ll loop back to DECE again and again. Each time, a deeper, radder, more powerful version of yourself will rise.

DECE happens thousands of times per day, you have a ton of opportunities to practice.
